Galaxy Equine is located in Wainui, 10 minutes north of Silverdale. We currently have 4 stallions serving at stud.
Galaxy Pourewa is a northern bred twenty-something year old who stands at 15hh that is the sire or grandsire of almost every horse on the property. He is still producing foals at his grand old age and also has a busy life of babysitting the youngsters out in the back paddock and teaching them some manners, and this is the main reason our ponies are so well behaved and respectful. Pourewa is currently available through natural serving only.
Galaxy Spring Fever is a 10 year old 14.2hh (147cm LC) bay and white by Pourewa & been with us since 2007. He was bred by the Becconsalls in Te Puke and was out of Jordyn's GP mare Spring Brooke. Jack is a lovely horse to have around and if you didn't know he was a stallion you would never pick it, he has the kindest nature but the best personality, both of which he passes onto his offspring. Jack is available by A.I only
Galaxy Magician a 4 yr old dark bay tobiano by Spring Fever out of G. Witch & Famous. Has movement rarely seen in a pony with his father's "look at me" attitude & jumping ability. Is available by frozen semen only. 2 gorgeous coloured foals born 2012/13 season.
Galaxy Special Edition: 13.2hh 4 yr old son of Pourewa out of a HOY showhunter title winning mare. His first foals due end of 2013. AI only.
Facilities available for semen collection and training outside stallions for collection, onsite inseminations also available.
Pony Parties - Terms & Conditions
1) Longridge Stables is a working farm and all guests must abide by staff/owner requests at all times.
2) All guests must attend a short safety briefing (including parents) regarding the rules at Longridge Stables and safety around horses.
3) Longridge believes in “challenge by choiceâ€. We understand that some people are nervous around horses and other animals and we will work with everybody individually within their comfort level. There is no pressure to complete any activities and alternative activity options will be given.
4) Longridge takes all precautions to provide a safe, fun, horsey experience, however there are risks involved with horseback riding and Longridge takes no liability for any accidental injury caused. There is always a certified first aider on site.
5) Parking at Longridge is available for up to 3 vehicles per party. Please organise transport prior to party date.
6) In the case of bad weather we leave it your choice if you want to post-phone your party. We are happy to run parties in wet weather and can provide alternative activities in our warm, dry stable facility.
7) Cancellations will incur a 10% fee

Ben lives in Wainuiomata with his partner Rachel and their 7 month old daughter Kadie. They chose to build their life as a family in Wainuiomata, as they truly believe the community has everything they need.
His hobbies include a range of sports; in 1997-2003 he was a Marlborough rep in rugby. He loves having the bush and coast on our doorstep, and gets out and about as much as possible.
