The SPCA is a purely voluntary organization and receives no government or local body funding whatsoever. We rely entirely on donations, bequests and our own fund raising abilities for our income. As well as caring for the animals housed in our animal shelter waiting to be adopted, the Feilding SPCA also has staff on call and a distinctively marked vehicle which serves, amongst other duties, as an animal ambulance to attend to the needs of the animals in Feilding and its surrounding districts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Kids Rock is a place where all children in our community are welcome! We meet on a fortnightly basis. We aim to have fun on Friday nights for all kids who are in year 6, 7 or 8 at school. We meet together and have heaps of fun including playing games, meeting new friends, doing crazy challenges, learn about important life skills to help you grow - such as peer pressure, self-esteem, ... We have a Christian basis to our programme which includes creative life skills, aimed at this age group to help them cope with life issues. We aim to teach young people to be responsible for their own choices.
