Dancespace is an Auckland dance school specialising in the specific needs of preschoolers - fostering a love of dance, appreciation of music, confidence and the ability to follow instructions. We are highly qualified in the field of dance and have eighteen years experience in teaching from preschool to adult. We have children of our own and understand their needs. Preschool dance is a passion and it would be a pleasure to teach your child in one of the classes we offer. There's nothing like immersing yourself in the pleasure of spinning - it's messy: paint goes EVERYWHERE when you spin big (we provide protection though - with disposable overalls that you can take home with you if you think they look particularly cool with the paint splatter, Jackson Pollock style!) You can bring your own canvas, t-shirt, or spin one we provide. We've never seen a 'bad' spin - but we do provide our vast spinney experience to guide you to get the effect you want from your spintastic experience. The Spin Room's new permanent premises in Browns Bay is currently under development, and will be officially launching early 2013.

Over the years a wide range of emerging and established artists, including poets, filmmakers, sculptors, writers, musicians, dancers and actors, have collaborated within the Free Theatre to perform in various spaces around New Zealand. From the start the emphasis has been on non-verbal action and high production standards, discouraging the star system and encouraging long rehearsal and training periods in a company context.

REALIGN’s defining mantra is that dancing is a basic human right. This is why “The Club” is geared towards advocating YOUR right to move. “The Club” will crank Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights through July and thereafter. Further incentives to swing and sashay through the night include wicked DJs in the Dance Room running from 10pm until 3am. The Dance Room also boasts a polished wooden dance floor, lined walls, sensational lighting and production. The adjacent “Lounge Bar” brags a more ambient environment with carpeted floors, subdued LED lighting, kentia palms, Rimu tables and radiant heaters. For the pleasure of your ear buds we have Christchurch and New Zealand’s very best DJs behind the decks providing you with groovy tunes, whilst still allowing you to hear the meaningful philosophical insights of your mates. An outside courtyard area with heating and seating provides fresh air or a Chimney corner for those who desire it. Tasty beers, local and imported wine, top shelf and cocktails are the main attraction at the “The Bar”. Naturally we also have low-alcohol, fizzy and juices available alongside our always-free water. Your comfort and security is paramount to us. Due to this firm but friendly security will be at the door, onsite and patrolling the environs. Dickheads are not welcome and will not be tolerated. Dress standards are smart casual. If you’re worried about your jandals, boots or being under-dressed, then you probably won’t get in.
