Please note, we accept small to labrador size dogs only. Our units are heated and your dog will be housed individually. We have multiple exercise yards, and vet nurse advice is available if needed. Lealsam Retreat is HOME AWAY FROM HOME for the very special Dog or Cat. Our numbers are very low (10dogs or 8 Cats) so no stressing for you or your special pet. Everyone gets individual care daily and fed twice daily and excersied 4 times a day. Our pet Menu includes Salmon, Chicken, Steak, Venison, Offal, Tripe and much more... all our food is from MudPuppy in Dunedin. Our opening hours are mon to fri 9-10am & 4-5pm. Sat 9-10am & Sun 4-5pm. A fee for opening outside of these hours will occur. We also offer a range of dog grooming for your loved poochie :) Enquire within :) We will also have a wide range of dog/cat beds & assesories coming soon so keep a look out.

We have two clinics Bayfair Vets and Papamoa Vets. The above hours are for our Bayfair Vet Clinic. The Papamoa branch located at 3 Percy road has two late nights a week -Monday and Wednesday till 7. The rest of the week we are open till 5.30, and closed over the weekend. Our team of five experienced veterinary surgeons - Paul, Steve, Dione, Lucy and Erin - offers a full range of medical and surgical procedures. We provide a 24hr service so no matter when you may require vet care for your pet there will be a highly skilled professional available. We also have eight knowledgeable and talented support staff including our practice manager Jill, qualified veterinary nurses Trinette, Nicky, Debby, Bridell and Mel, receptionist Wendy and our in-house dog groomer Amy. Wendy also runs a popular and informative puppy pre-school from our Papamoa clinic.
