From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Disc golf is a disc game in which individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target. According to the Professional Disc Golf Association, "The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc." Of the more than 3000 established disc golf courses as of 2010, approximately 87% are free. The game is played in the United States and more than 20 other countries around the world. The Wanaka Rodeo Club was formed in 1963 and has run its annual rodeo, held on Jaunary 2nd, 43 times since then.

The Wanaka Musician's Club is a performance session held every second Sunday at Mint Bar. The main aim is to provide local talent with an opportunity to showcase their skills in a friendly supportive environment. More than just an open mic night, a full stage's equipment including all amplification, instruments and sound system is supplied, catering to a wider array of musicians. Drummers, bassists, keyboard players etc. all have a chance to perform. The club also provides entertainment for the community and revenue for Mint Bar. The singer songwriter circle is a multifaceted, fortnightly meeting of local songwriters with a focus on group participation. Taking place at the Wanaka Arts Centre, it aims to provide an inspiring and supportive space for local artists to hone their songwriting skills. It promotes opportunities for musicians to meet and network, or to form potential musical partnerships. The singer/songwriter circle offers mentorship and workshops with practical direction.

The overall goal of the project is to raise awareness about the issue of packaging waste and to help people to choose the best forms of packaging so they can reduce, reuse and recycle.

“Mini Muscles” is a fun movement hour for parents to attend with their infant, toddler or preschooler. Sessions are based on free choice for children and we offer ideas to parents that will help them support their child’s physical development. We offer music and movement as part of the class and children are welcome to join in if they wish. Physical movement plays an important role in early childhood education and is necessary for your infants brain development. You will learn how your new baby's movement, supports this growth. We introduce you to ideas from specialists and theorists and help you to answer all those questions that you have, about your child’s physical development as they grow.
