The New Zealand Patchwork and Quilting Charitable Trust is the convener of the Taupo Symposium 2013 Fabric Art Festival. We will be bringing you some of the most talented tutors from around the globe to share their remarkable talent with you. We have tutors signed up from America, UK, Africa, and Australia and of course our talented Kiwi tutors. Traditional patchwork with a twist, new techniques, the latest tools of the trade and a whole lot more will be offered to you over 5 days. There will be: 250 workshops 30+ merchants stalls Quilt Exhibitions and Challenges Lectures Catching up with old friends and making more new ones And we mustn’t forget the scrummy food and evening entertainment

Long established running club in Taupo in the middle of the North Island New Zealand. Concentrate on kids and the adults follow. Organised and run the NIXCC (North Island Cross Country Champs) in Spa Thermal Park in July for the past 25 years or so, recognised as one of the biggest XC events in NZ. Organise and present the Harriers Starlight Cinema 5km series of 4 races, 1 fun run and incorporating the Ironman 5km race from January - March annually.

We meet every Wednesday Morning, at Suncourt Hotel, Northcroft Street, Taupo. 6.45am for a 7am start, and we are all finished by 8am. Visiting Rotarians, guests, and those interested in learning what we're about are always welcome! $20 casual fee per meeting, includes cooked breakfast, guest speaker, and the all important coffee! The precise origins of Freemasonry have been lost in time, however, its traditions date back to the Middle Ages and to the stonemasons who built the cathedrals and castles of Europe. To construct them, it was necessary for men to have considerable knowledge of geometry, arithmetic and engineering. These highly skilled masons formed themselves into lodges to protect the skills and secrets of their trade and to pass their knowledge on to worthy apprentices. Importantly, these men were not bondsmen, hence the word "free" in Freemason. By the 17th Century, when the building of castles and cathedrals diminished, Masonry began to lose its 'operative' aspects and worthy men who were not craftsmen were also accepted into its membership. It was from this time that Masons were known as 'free and accepted' Masons, as they continue to be known to this day. The first Grand Lodge was established in England in 1717 and thereafter Freemasonry spread rapidly throughout the world. Freemasonry has been practised in Australasia since early in the 19th Century.

We are a mentoring program for children 8-12yrs old. We have trained volunteers willing to be a positive role model for a child.

The Rotary Club of Taupo Moana is one of three rotary clubs in Taupo. We are a small but vibrant club with our main fund raising event of the year being the Great Lake Cycle Challenge. We welcome guests and prospective new members. As a club we are always on the lookout for guest speakers or possible projects we can support.
