Kent Street, Auckland ,
This is the official Facebook page for our new social club- Symphonize! The idea of this social club is to break the ice and get everyone interacting with one another both at and outside of the work place. Check out all our upcoming events and fun work days. Keep in touch with work colleagues outside of work hours and make new friends with people you usually sit next to but maybe don't get time to interact with. If you have any queries about the social club activities or how you can be involved then please feel free to enquire here or contact Jioji Vai.
Hamilton Mountain Bike Club

Hamilton Mountain Bike Club

Maui Street, Hamilton ,
Established in 1989 the Hamilton Mountain Bike Club has worked literally thousands of hours to create the track network and keep it maintained for free public and club use. It's all done by volunteers so joining the club or a donation are great ways to help us continue this development. During the year the Hamilton Mountain Bike Club run a number of events, both competitive and social so don't worry if you think its all about racing, its not. Summer see's the always popular 'Summer Series' run on a Wednesday evening and with competitive and social grades. This is a twelve race series with 6 each races before and after Christmas. In Spring we see the clubs signature event - the Pukete Spaghetti, a six hour teams or solo event designed for both competitive and social riders. The 2010 event is shaping up to be our largest ever and thanks to some very generous sponsors, there will be over $5,000 of amazing spot prizes up for grabs including brand new mountain bikes! Download an entry form here or enter online at www.enteronline.co.nz Fostering young riders at competitive and social levels is a key part of the club with youth development squad for the competitive, and many casual family group rides and events for those who simply enjoy riding. Many of the social rides are organised by club members rather than at committee level and are always well supported and fun to attend. Events away from the clubs track that are attended include favourites like: * The Moon Ride * The Black Stump Adventure * The Day Night Thriller * Colville Connection * nDuro Series * Karapoti * and many more... Being part of the club puts you in contact with other MTB enthusiasts and gives you a chance to enjoy your sport at a local level. It doesn't matter whether you're a social or competitive rider - the club has something for everyone. For less than the cost of a family visit to the movies you can join the club for a whole year - and we reckon theres no where else you could have this much fun for so little money!

Keep the Highlanders in Blue, Gold and Maroon

Keep the Highlanders in Blue, Gold and Maroon

University Oval Grandstand, Level 1, Logan Park Drive, Dunedin, Dunedin ,
As reported in the ODT on 27 May, plans were underway to replace the blue, gold and maroon strip with a light green jersey and navy blue shorts. After so many years of fan disillusionment, The Highlanders finally got thier fan base back behind the team. But changing from the blue, gold and maroon, would have alienated so many fans would have given the fans a sense of disownership. The only thing thats kept this franchise afloat is all the fans who put up the tough times in the mid to late '00s and the relative success of the 2011 season should be for those loyal fans. We knew this would hurt the Highlanders and this page was part of a successful campaign to tell the Highlanders "Don't forget your roots and Keep the Highlanders in Blue, Gold and Maroon!" Fortunately this decision was reversed in late 2011 and we're looking forward to a great 2012 season.
