Cookie Time Christmas Cookies Timaru

Coming to your business, Timaru ,
It's nearly Christmas again and that means Cookie Time Christmas Cookies! My name is Steph Gregor and I'm the salesperson of these for the Timaru district, which extends up to Geraldine, down to Makikihi and across to Lake Tekapo. I'll be doing my very best to visit all businesses in this area over the next few weeks. If you're interested get in touch with the lovely HQ girls on 0800XCOOKIE and either make sure that I visit your business (with lots of free samples...) or place your order with them, and I'll deliver it for you closer to Christmas. We have THREE delicious flavours this year which is exciting. As always, the Apricot Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chip ($15) and a brand new flavour which is White Chocolate and Cranberry - this is only $14 as it is a special introductory price! If you see me round town with my bright cookie shirt on feel free to come up and chat and grab a few samples.

Leeston Community House

Leeston Community House

The Leeston Community house is going to be place for our whole community to use, enjoy and benefit from. it will be home to Selwyn's very own state of the art sensory room, space for the local toy library if they want it, a commercial kitchen, a community garden, a library of information for family's. It will have a lounge room available to drop in for a cuppa and chat, for coffee groups to use, night group and committee meetings, a teen drop in on Friday and Saturday nights, things like anti-natal classes ect. the community house will also have a health services room with a separate toilet and waiting room that will be available to hire for services like counselling, maternity, health nurse, drug and alcohol help, winz, appointments that people including the elderly would have to travel for and more. there will be a toilet block, tea and coffee facility (separate from kitchen), a small fenced out door play area, ramps for front and back pram/wheel chair access, fenced yard, car parking, indoor play area (in lounge) for children, TV and gaming things for video nights and teen hang out, small reception desk, rented cupboard space for tenants in kitchen and health service room, a store room and more. this is a long term project that will cost around the $500,000 mark. we will fundrasie and apply for grants from the applicable funders, we intent to buy the property to reduce weekly running cost in the future, which means more to raise now but puts us in a better position to be a sustainable venture. Once set up and running we will have income sources from rent from the toy library area, the commercial kitchen, the health services room and the sensory room. this will ensure we keep up maintenance on our lovely house, keep up with technology, are able to run and constantly change and improve our sensory room, provide events for teens, children parents ect. plus pay rates, power, phone and internet, insurances, staff if applicable, security ect. I would love as many people from Selwyn to be involved from all aspects of our community to help make this dream come true so please contact Anna Nurse on 3248212, 0211042712 or ab.nurse@hotmail.co.nz to find out more
