We are a community based, not for profit, early childhood centre that is licensed for 50 children. We operate out of a Ministry of Education purpose built centre that we have occupied for since 2005. We are alongside the Wairarapa Teen Parent Unit and 25 of our spaces are allocated to them with the other 25 being community spaces.

The clubhouse nestles in a pristine and unspoiled location inside Bowentown Heads, opposite the north end of Matakana Island, Bay of Plenty New Zealand.
Only 30 kilometres of shore is Mayor Island, famous for the migratory game fish which abound along the coast during the summer months. The inner harbour provides some of the best fishing on the coast. A very short walk brings you to Waihi Beach, one of the finest surf beaches on the east coast of New Zealand. The club was formed in 1963 and now has more than 1000 members.
This a small Volunteer Fire Brigade with about 12-18 members supporting the Matata Community and surrounding area. We have a fire appliance and first response medical van and are responded to all Fire and Ambulance calls in our area.

Mosgiel Station is a composite station meaning that Monday to Friday 7am to 5:30pm it is manned by Career staff all other times by Volunteers.
