Rotary International was founded in Chicago in 1905 and established in New Zealand in 1921, is the world’s leading global network of community volunteers with members drawn from business, the professions, and the community. Membership is open to men and women and in New Zealand there are 9,200 Rotarians. With a network encompassing 200 countries and 1.22 million Rotarians working together, their projects create amazing outcomes, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help build goodwill and peace throughout the world. Rotary is a true united nations. Over the years Rotarians have been a positive factor in hundreds of communities across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, be it through fun or disaster relief from floods, drought or bushfires. 100% of the funds raised by our New Zealand Rotarians are put back into projects to benefit local and international communities. Rotary activities bring an extra dimension to community life across New Zealand, the Pacific and the wider world. Rotarians run a multitude if programmes for young people including reading with primary school children, providing dictionaries in schools, a weekend of personal development for teenagers, Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) six-day leadership clamps for young adults and 12 month international Youth Exchanges for 16-17 year olds. The Rotary Youth Driver Awareness one day course for teenagers is a major step in helping create safer future divers and road users. Interact and Rotaract provide social and volunteering networks for school students and young adults. Cure Kids was started by Rotary and in other areas, medical specialist through Rotary donate their time and skills to carry out medical procedures in developing nations. Also Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC) funds children to come to New Zealand for advanced life saving operations not available in their own countries. Welcome to Pokémon Center New Zealand! A place where all Pokemon Fans can gather up, chat and Play Pokemon! The Pokémon Center New Zealand began as a Pokémon Fan Club which started back in 2010, originally starting with just 8 members, and expanded to 24 by the end of 2010. We were a group of enthusiastic Pokénoobs just having a good time playing, collecting the Pokémon Trading Card Game and Pokémon Video Game =) In 2011 huge support and sponsorship from Pokémon International helped us get the word out to everyone, along with newsletters and promotions. We get players to compete in our competitions from the South Island and North Island and even from Australia! We have received media attention from the New Zealand Herald, and have Pokémon Players from the age of 5 to 55! Now The Pokémon Club New Zealand has over 400 members, and still counting! New Players, Members, Collectors are always welcome to join. We host the following below for all Pokémon Fans in New Zealand: Official Pokémon Organised Play League Official Pokémon Play! We have all attended a training camp and have learnt about a variety of topics including relationships, decision making, contraception and STI's. St John New Zealand (also often referred to as St John Ambulance of New Zealand) is a charitable organisation providing healthcare services to the New Zealand public. Services include emergency and non-emergency ambulance treatment and transport, first aid training, and first aid supplies. The organisation is funded by Ministry of Health and District Health Board funds (via ambulance service contracts), ACC levies, part and full charges to patients, plus donations and fundraising. Our Newmarket Division is aimed at everyone in the Epsom area, from ages 5-18 for the youth division And anyone is welcome to volunteer and become youth leaders from the age 19 upwards
