At the top of the Botanic Gardens, the Carter Observatory features a full-dome planetarium offering regular shows with virtual tours of the local skies; multimedia displays of Polynesian & European navigation, MÄori cosmology, New Zealanders and space; and some of New Zealand’s finest telescopes and astronomical artefacts.
Some people ask, who is Becs? Well... Becs is an inspirational high school teacher turned cafe owner who turned one little relatively average cafe into something amazing. She showed that putting a little bit of aroha into a cafe really turns it around. And to this day there is still that spark of aroha shown in every epic coffee and every sandwich handed across the counter.
Every customer is treated to a bit of your normal friendly "hello, how you doing?" And in my personal opinion I think that is what makes us unique in our service. Showing a bit of aroha.
