UCanDance
The University of Canterbury Dance Club offers a social atmosphere in which to learn impressive, fun, yet easy to learn partner dancing. Primarily we offer Salsa, Rueda, Merengue, Bachata and Modern Jive lessons, but guest instructors appear throughout the year to introduce members to alternate dance styles like Cha-Cha, Swing, Zouk, Tango or Waltz.
Regular classes, open to students and non-students, run twice a week on Monday and Thursday evenings from 8.00 - 10.20pm at the Education Gymnasium 101 on the Dovedale campus (http://www.ucandance.org/Where). Throughout the year we organise flashmobs, competitions, workshops, the UCanDance Ball, a Hanmer trip, a car rally and other social events. UCanDance also hosts Fuego, Canterbury's largest Latin dancing event.
With nearly two decades of successful classes and events, we have several hundred members attending regularly, occasionally or just for our numerous parties. Come and join us and learn an awesome and very addictive skill that will never leave you short of a way to spend a night out.
If you want to fix those two left feet, make friends and have fun, then we hope to see you at lessons in 2013!
