The new Court Theatre in Addington opened on 10 December 2011 and is one of the first public arts organisations to open in new premises following the February 22nd Christchurch earthquake. The new theatre has an increased capacity (388 seats), on-site parking and has been hailed both for the speed of the construction and the quality of the finished product.
