A few notes about doggy day care: Daycare is suitable for most dogs that love to play, need socialisation or have environmental problems at home; such as destructive behaviour, barking issues, even separation anxiety. Any dog displaying aggression of any kind will not be suitable for this play environment. We will not be discriminating based on a dogs breed as we believe it is the owner that makes the dog. All dogs will be assessed on temperament. Day camp guests are not given full meals but with your permission they can get treats for being good. However, if your dog requires lunch it can be supplied by you in a labelled container/bag . Sleepover guests do receive meals, you are welcome to bring along some of their usual food or we will provide them with suitable meals. For daycare guests we recommend leaving personal items at home, unless you are happy for other guests to play with them as well, and we cannot guarantee they will be returned in the same condition. The Marina Story This historic building was originally the ballroom of Lysnar House which was built in 1919. The extension of the ballroom to Lysnar House was built for a daughters 21st birthday celebration. The loft where the string quartet played still exists as does the chaperons room at the very top of the building. This section of Lysnar House was moved to its present site in 1974 and was converted to a restaurant. The location of the Marina Restaurant is rather unique being on the junction of three rivers - the Waimata River, the Taruheru River and the Turanganui River.
