About: The Department of Marketing first began life in 1966. Since then it has steadily grown to become one of the larger marketing departments in the world, offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, which all benefit from the research-led approach adopted by the University as a whole. Everything in Above Ground is staunchly, entirely and absolutely made in Dunedin. Clothes I've Made menswear range launched in 2011 and is produced from the Above Ground studio. Aiming to produce 'the sickest gears for any kinda animal' Clothes I've Made has erupted onto the Dunedin scene with a comfort equals style attitude. Cupkakes is a bespoke lingerie, swimwear and accessories label influenced by the glamour years of a bygone era. The range is designed to enhance and flatter any shape and size. Designer Kate Martin selects beautiful trims and fabrics with an impeccable eye and can create custom pieces for any special occasion. Lou's Shoes is an artisan leatherworking business located at Above Ground. Drawing inspiration from classic vintage styles the collection features outrageously adorable Gaiters, Penny Loafers and Brogues, in miniature! Lou's Shoes are destined to become much-loved mementos, treasured long after they are outgrown. Shoemaker Lou Clifton is set to launch her made-to-measure adult shoe range in May 2012 from Above Ground. The Divine Surprise range features faceted, taloned and twinkling creations of sublime craftsmanship. Jeweller Michael Duncan works during the day as a mild-mannered qualified jeweller of 12 years experience, and by night moonlights as Divine Surprise - creating one-off pieces using the finest grade materials with superb attention to detail.

Initially starting as Kaikorai Valley High School in 1958, the school combined with Kenmure Intermediate School in 1996 to become Kaikorai Valley College, and in 2008 celebrated its 50th jubileeThe college has approximately 65 international students, and has sister school relationships with Sakuragaoka High School, Kun-ei Girls High School and Myojo Gakuen in Japan; Po Leung Kuk Ngan Po Ling College in Hong Kong; and Harbin Number 13 Middle School in China.Facilities include its own theatre and dance studio.
