STARS Education Whanganui Inc provides Specialised Teaching, Assessments and Resources to students with Dyslexia and other LearningChallenges in the greater Whanganui and South Taranaki Area. At STARS Education Whanganui our teachers are all qualified, experienced classroom teachers, who have additional qualifications in the field of Specific Learning Disabilities. Additionally, our teachers participate in regular professional development workshops. Teachers and assessors are all police checked at regular intervals. All students are assessed thoroughly by our specially trained assessor before participating in the STARS programme. Our programmes are individually tailored to the specific needs of the student. Wanganui Airport is the airport for Wanganui, New Zealand. Nearby is the Wanganui City, The Wanganui Regional Helipad, and State Highway 1, heading towards Palmerston North. Wanganui Airport underwent a redesign in 2007.

We have been serving the people and businesses of Wanganui and the Rangitikei for generations, and we've always been midsized and personal. Our earliest roots go back as far as 1881 when S T Fitzherbert and Gifford Marshall were partners. J P Watt was here in the 1890s and later in partnership with G W Currie and J B Jack. In the 1930s V B Willis was celebrated for a successful appeal to the Privy Council. Marshall Izard and Wilson, Currie Jack and Davis, and Turnbull and Willis combined in the 1960s as first Nowell Izard and then Max Willis went to be Judges. J B Jack had been a Judge of the Maori Land Court until 1917, and was still in the firm together with his son Sir Roy Jack in the 1970s. Sir Roy was then MP and Speaker of Parliament. Colin Riddet, Bob Wallis and John Tripe, were partners from the 1970s. John Tripe became a Consultant in 2012, and Mark Bullock became the firm's Principal.

National Organ Academy @ Collegiate The Chapel Restoration Foundation has established the New Zealand National Academy for Organists, annually at Wanganui Collegiate School from January 2013 Wanganui Collegiate is home to the annual National Organ Academy New Zealand's residential Academy for intensive instruction across a range of disciplines relating to pipe organ music. Colin Walsh's Vision of the National Organ Academy The Artistic Director in 2013 will be Colin Walsh, Organist Laureate of Lincoln Cathedral, and International Concert Organist. Tutorial staff will also be drawn from Collegiate's Foundation Music School, and the Australian and New Zealand College of Organists. Performance and Improvisation Classes will take place around the city (9 available Pipe Organs), centrally based from the Collegiate Chapel. Lectures and Masterclasses will also feature, around musicological areas, pedagogy, Historically Aware Performance, Concert & Recital Stagecraft, Essentials for the Liturgical Organist, Programming, etc. Students enrolled will also be given recital opportunities at numerous venues across the city as part of the Wanganui Festival of Organ Music 2013, successfully run since 2004.
