Hells Gate - New Zealand's Only Mud and Mineral Spa

Hells Gate - New Zealand's Only Mud and Mineral Spa

Tikitere, State Highway 30, Rotorua ,
Hells Gate Geothermal Park is raw, angry and a little ugly. This Maori owned valley is steeped in culture and is known as the fiercest of the geothermal areas in Rotorua! The Hells Gate valley features hot-water lakes, New Zealand’s largest mud volcano and also the largest hot water waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere. Hells Gate is the geothermal park where the smell comes alive bubbling to the surface with purpose and intensity. Here you can get hands on with the earth and the Maori culture as you stroll through this untamed wonderland. Learn to carve and weave flax as the Maori people do and you can take away your efforts as a memento of your time with us! At the Hells Gate Spa get down and dirty in the only geothermal mud baths in New Zealand with beautification minerals which help to clear the skin, all before you relax in the mineral spas. If your looking for something truly one of kind try a Wai Ora Massage based on the traditional Maori style of massage known as Mirimiri, which not only relaxes the body, but through karakia (Maori prayer) relaxes the mind as well.

Crossfit Rotorua

Crossfit Rotorua

2/42 White St, Rotorua ,
What is CrossFit? CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program that gets results, fast! Whether you are coming out of retirement, looking for that competitive edge in sports or just want to be a fitter, healthier person, CrossFit will help get you there. Our training is broad and inclusive, giving rise to Crossfit's specialty of not specializing. We work on the ten recognised domains of fitness (Cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, Strength, power, speed, stamina, agility, flexibility, accuracy, balance and coordination) as a deliberate attempt to increase work capacity, considered to be the holy grail to improving fitness. Combining this concept with the CrossFit prescription of training, performing constantly varied, functional movements and executing these at high intensity allows us to achieve a superior overall fitness. CrossFit exercises mimic the movements we were born to do naturally ie running, jumping, pulling, throwing, lifting etc. These natural elements combined with weight lifting and gymnastics provide the basic structure of CrossFit WODS (Work Out of the Day). The ideology behind this type of structuring not only makes us fitter and stronger, it also prepares us for the unknown and unknowable events life throws at us. Why CrossFit? Workouts are short, challenging, fun and rewarding. We workout together as a community to support one another and push each other to places we never thought possible. Your confidence will increase not only in the gym but also in lifes varying situations.
