Burn 24HR Fitness Takapuna

Burn 24HR Fitness Takapuna

11 Barrys Pt Road, Takapuna, Auckland ,
Burn offers you everything you want from a gym and nothing you don’t want to pay for. We start by giving you safe and secure 24HR access to the gym, 365 days a year. Then we take away the things you hate like long term ‘one-sided’ contracts, expensive joining fees and peak time crowds. Why pay for the large staff of other mainstream gyms with their fad classes you don’t need and the sales people you don’t appreciate? These savings are passed onto you through better quality equipment and a cap on membership levels so it’s never too busy. What Burn does provide is all the top of the line Nautilus brand cardio and strength equipment that you need to do your workout, at the lowest price and a fair contract with no minimum term. We have an on-site personal trainer if you need some guidance or help achieving your goals, but you only pay for this if you want it!

Trans-Tasman Challenge

Trans-Tasman Challenge

Sydney, Auckland ,
Ever wanted to know what it’s like to have the pressure of a 6-foot putt to win the Augusta Masters? We did, which is why we created the Trans-Tasman Challenge. The Trans-Tasman Challenge is a series of 6 golf tournaments played over 6 weeks from late February to early April 2014, with the winning team from each tournament playing in Phuket for a winner-takes-all cash prize of $10,000. The tournaments take place in Sydney (for New Zealand based golfers) and Auckland (for Australian based golfers) with $25,000 worth of prizes at each tournament. The Trans-Tasman Challenge is a teams event aimed at the ‘weekend golfer’ who wouldn’t normally take part in a club tournament although any keen golfers looking to have some fun and tell a few stories are welcome. The scoring will be net handicap so the +30s can mix it with the +3s! So get your team together, put in your entry and start practising those 6-foot putts. Pressure will do funny things to your short game!

In our former lives we scooped the following awards and we look forward to continuing to set the benchmark with Event Day: Winner 2011 FINZ Best Charity Fundraising Event (Oxfam Trailwalker, Event Manager), Winner 2008, 2009 & 2010 Best Environmentally Sustainable Event (Oxfam Trailwalker, Event Manager), Winner NZAEP 2010 Best Emerging Event (T42, Contract Course Director), Finalist NZAEP 2010 Best Event Partnership (Xterra Trail Run Series with Oxfam New Zealand), Winner 2009 Best Event Partnership (Oxfam Trailwalker & Maui Motorhomes), Winner 2009 Best Emerging Event (The DUAL, Contract Event Manager). Our passion for providing amazing event experiences shines through in all our work. Not satisfied with only working on our own events, we are proud to provide key services to some of the country's most iconic events. We're also mad about environmental sustainability to the point where you'll see us sorting all our waste by hand after an event. Our actions go well beyond waste management though; we make sure to monitor our environmental impact throughout the planning and implementation of events we're involved with. We constantly strive to reduce our impact and to influence others (participants, stakeholders, sponsors, suppliers) to do the same. We’re always working on new event concepts and we’re always looking to get stuck into new challenges so should you require a quote for any event services please don’t hesitate to contact Event Day to discuss your options.
