Titahi Bay Tennis Club

Titahi Bay Tennis Club

18 Main Road, Titahi Bay, Porirua ,
Founded in 1926 the Titahi Bay Tennis Club is widely recognised across the Wellington Region for its support and development towards the game of tennis. Our club has more than 120 affiliated members, consisting of a balanced senior and junior player mix. A significant portion of members are families, which reflects well on the clubs positioning as family friendly environment that provides for all levels of tennis ability. In early 2010 the Club installed new lights and fences and in July 2011 the Club’s three tennis courts were resurfaced with Astroturf, with the help of charity grants. The Club runs a social club day/nights competition on Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons. This provides a great chance to meet members and enjoy a social hit. Club days cater for all skill levels. We have a number of Senior Men’s, Women’s and Junior Interclub teams that cater for a range of playing abilities. Interclub commences at the beginning of October. If you have joined after this has started, please let us know if you are interested in participating. Your name will be added to our reserves list and our Club ranking ladder. Junior coaching is provided to children aged 7-18 on Tuesday evenings, and to 5-18 year olds on Sunday mornings. If you would like to know more about juniors, please phone our Junior Convenor, Dominic Vardon on 236-5555 after work hours. We run a number of other events during the season including beginners coaching for seniors and some rather entertaining and fun social events. Look out for the posters of upcoming events on the club noticeboard.
