Milligans Café & Store has a compact, eclectic, dedicated team who bring great service combined with the tastiest food, drinks and hopefully a big cheesy grin in this revamped heritage building. Whether you fancy free-range eggs with Hampden bacon and a strong Mojo flat white coffee, or one of our much-loved pies with a beer or glass of red, or you’ve dropped in to grab a something take-away as you pass by, just know that we aim to please! We also have a great selection of Milligans products on the shelves, with the best value cheeses in town and classic Granny Faye’s mixes and sauces. Our eclipse flour, milled at Ngapara, is proving a hit with the local bakers, our furthest customer driving up from Dunedin to stock up. Our menu is home-made in our small, but perfectly formed kitchen using ingredients from local suppliers and producers and our drinks are largely sourced from quality New Zealand manufacturers, brewers and wineries. As a new venture we try to attract people from all walks of life and continually tweak our menu and review our practices, to deliver a fresh range of popular items, with the odd sidewinder thrown in the mix to keep you on your toes.
