8 Duke Street, Queenstown, Queenstown ,
Jervois Steak House Auckland, also known as ‘JSH’ or simply ‘Jervois’, opened in 2007 after restauranteur Richard Sigley and Chef Simon Gault joined forces and travelled extensively through the United States researching, sampling and truly understanding what made a great steak house. Five years on, JSH still reigns supreme as New Zealand’s pre-eminent restaurant designed to unashamedly showcase meat. It will come as no surprise to learn that JSH is all about enjoying fine meat. The meats are sourced from the very best beef and lamb producers with quality beef having been carefully selected from the highest pedigree and defined by breed and feed. Coyote Grill Queenstown

Coyote Grill Queenstown

66 Shotover st, Queenstown ,
How to find us Coyote Grill can be accessed from either beach st across from the Warf or lower Shotover st About us Established in summer 2012 Coyote Grill serves modern Mexican food with southwest influence in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. With our Macrocarpa tables and bar rough milled and crafted from big Central Otago pine trees by a carpenter named Mac, to our genuine Mexican and local artwork, terracotta floor, and wrought iron candelabras we have recreated the warm ambience of the Mexican Hacienda(farmhouse). Many of our tasty authentic Mexican dishes certainly reflect this. Our kitchen uses many of the finest spices, many varieties of dried chili’s, herbs, and seeds imported from Mexico to give authentic and defined flavors which compliment and give real credit to our fresh premium local produce. You will be pleased to know that our flour tortillas are made fresh and preservative free here in Queenstown by Remarkable Tortillas. Our fish is supplied directly from the fishing boats in Bluff. Our food is generally not spicy hot, but instead takes the flavor and aroma from the chili, adding heat when needed. From our bar we offer a selection of Margaritas which we use 100% agave reposado tequila, we have local tap beer and cider and a good range of premium Mexican beers. As for wine we are proud to offer both Central otago reds and whites, alongside some imports. If you would like to explore the world of premium tequila then try a shot of our first pour 100% agave, or sip on a smooth, sweet oak casket aged “Anjeo”. Our moto at Coyote is that famous Mexican welcome “Mi Casa es Su Casa” which translates as ‘my house is your house’ . Come in relax and have fun.

Rata - Josh Emett

Rata - Josh Emett

43 Ballarat Street, Queenstown ,
Rātā, the native New Zealand tree with a striking red bloom that dominates the South Island in the summer epitomises New Zealand for Josh Emett and Fleur Caulton. Their restaurant with the same name, takes inspiration from the Otago landscape they both gravitated to from their North Island up bringings. Passionate about creating a restaurant that encompasses that hard to find ‘real’ restaurant experience, Rātā is a relaxed eating-house with a neighbourhood feel, great service and delicious food. The restaurant is located discreetly away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown tucked away alongside heritage buildings. Rātā is a great place to unwind, with several dining spaces including a sunny courtyard and a bar perfect for all day eating. As suggested the décor uses warm earthy tones and influences from the Otago scenery, local polished stone and natural woods; and combines this with very modern industrial components: concrete, glass and steel. Throughout the space there are salvaged items, restored and given a chance to live again and give the space quirky charm and character. This deliberate ‘mix and match’ feel reflects the clientele they are looking to attract, the young and hip, the wiser well-heeled adventurers alongside the regular local crowd. Lunch, dinner and bar grazing is served at Rātā. The menu will showcase Josh’s impeccable cooking skills. Queenstown’s cooler climate lends itself to Josh’s love of slow cooked dishes and robust flavours, the discipline of his Michelin star background ensures elegant well balanced and inspired cuisine. The wine list will proudly showcase wines from Otago the region, greater New Zealand and afar with a large selection of wines by the glass to give diners variety, and match easily with the style of food. Fleur has spent the last twenty years working with local purveyors and we are committed to generously serving the best produce that Central Otago and the surrounding regions have to offer.
