Mount Maunganui College is a co-educational state school located in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, near Mt Maunganui Intermediate. It was established in 1958, the same year that Tauranga College was split into Tauranga Boys' College and Tauranga Girls' College. It has many classrooms, a library, two large halls, a 33 metre outdoor swimming pool, basketball court, a large sports field and several netball/tennis courts. There is also a Maori marae located on the ground. The school is currently undergoing extensive renovation and expansion in order to cater for the increasing school roll and promote a clean, corporate image. Mount Maunganui College is a popular choice for international students, particularly students from Germany, Mexico, Italy, Brazil, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, Korea and recently, the United States. 2008 also saw the school adopt the motto of "No Choice But Success".

Marineland of New Zealand was a marine mammal park in Napier, New Zealand. The park opened in 1965 and closed to the public in 2008. It has had several species of native marine wildlife, including the common dolphin, the New Zealand fur seal, little blue penguin and gannets. Marineland also has California sea lions, a sulphur crested cockatoo, otters and more.History1960sThe history of Marineland began in 1964 when an Auckland architectural firm was commissioned by Napier City under mayor Peter Tait to design an aquarium and dolphin pool. In late January 1965 Marineland caught its first common dolphin, Daphne, and the facility opened two days later. In 1969 two dolphins died when vandals broke in and fed them nails.By the end of the 1960s the site had exhibited dusky dolphins, Californian sea lions, leopard seals and New Zealand fur seals.1970sThe year 1970 saw bottlenose dolphins and weddell seals welcomed to the site. In 1976 four small clawed otters arrived from Melbourne Zoo. A year later the current General Manager, Gary Macdonald was appointed.

For the first one hundred years of its existence, the College was staffed predominantly by the Sisters of the Missions. Sister Mary Rose who completed her term in 1998 was the last Mission Sister to hold the position of Principal. The original buildings withstood the Napier earthquake of 1931.

It is the largest of the 14 national parks in New Zealand, with an area of 12,500 km², and a major part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. At the northern end of the park, several peaks rise to over 2,000 metres.Ice has carved islands from the mainland, leaving two large uninhabited offshore islands, Secretary Island and Resolution Island. Several large lakes lie wholly or partly within the park's boundaries, notably Lake Te Anau, Lake Manapouri, Lake Monowai, Lake Hauroko, and Lake Poteriteri. The Sutherland Falls, to the southwest of Milford Sound on the Milford Track, are among the world's highest waterfalls.

Francis Douglas Memorial College is an all-boys state integrated Catholic school located in Westown, New Plymouth, New Zealand. The college was founded in 1959 under the leadership of the De La Salle Brothers, a religious order of brothers based on the teachings of St. Jean-Baptiste de la Salle. The name of the school is dedicated to the memory of Father Francis Vernon Douglas, a missionary priest who was killed while doing missionary work in the Philippines during the Second World War. The school educates approximately 760 boys, 130 of whom are boarders. The 50th Jubilee of Francis Douglas Memorial College was held on Queen's Birthday Weekend, 2009.
