Wairoa College Services Academy initiative is designed to assist Year 12 and 13 students to make informed decisions for their chosen career pathway, learn a number of skills conductive to their own success and contributing to their long term economic independence and social well being.

Stepping Up provides free, Community-based computer and Internet training. It helps you to take the next step in learnign how to use computers and the Internet effectively. From advancing your Microsoft Office skills to managing your finances and finding a cheap airfare online, you choose the four Digital Steps that best suit you. Each Digital Step takes 2.5 hours and is a great way to improve your skills and confidence.

The Waitakere Pacific Arts and Cultural Centre aka the PACIFICA ARTS CENTRE is the realisation of supreme vision and hard work; The centre has grown from the energy of a few passionate and committed people; the active support of the Auckland Council; the Waitakere Pacific Board (formerly Pacific Islands Advisory Board); and The Pacifica Mamas. The latter has become the heart and soul of this space, taking weaving classes, showing school children and adults how to make Pacific arts and creating a studio space for selling and showcasing art pieces.
Department of Cycling is a cycling club registered with Bike New Zealand with the aim of introducing and supporting as many people as possible to the fun loving West Auckland cycling community.
WIA was formed in year 2000 by a concerned and dedicated group of Waitakere Residents after receiving requests from members of the Indian community. In a fast growing city we are experiencing a influx of new residents/immigrants of Indian origin and to cater for their ethnic needs of culture, language and values, WIA has been instrumental in providing this platform for the Indian community.
WIA has been and is working with the City council and other NGO agencies in promoting events that allow the Indian community to share their culture and traditions with the rest the community in Waitakere City .
WIA is a duly incorporated organisation with a constitution that allows for proper management as a trust. It is a parent body for Indians in Waitakere City and the membership comprises of individual ,family and group membership.
