BOPCC is a group of keen motorcyclists, whose interests revolve around good times, and great friends. Social rides and weekends away a regular part of our community, and while most members lean towards American bikes, all shapes and sizes are welcome. The club is open every Friday night, and we welcome new members, or groups that are passing through who want to shoot the breeze with like-minded people.

Every year we care for thousands of lost, sick, injured, abandoned and abused animals. We rescue animals from harmful situations, attend hundreds of animal emergencies, and investigate hundreds of complaints about the ill-treatment of animals. SPCA Napier & Hawkes Bay has the power to protect all animals from abuse, neglect, and abandonment, including prosecuting people under the Animal Welfare Act 1999. Situated in the centre of Napier, in the middle of Onekawa Park, the Napier Aquatic Centre is a safe and affordable aquatic facility for everyone. Just off the Napier-Hastings motorway, the Napier Aquatic Centre is the most comprehensive aquatic centre in Hawke's Bay. We're a POOLSAFE© and SMOKEFREE complex that is community based, delivering many recreational programmes and opportunities for Napier and the wider Hawke's Bay community. There are heated pools with disability-friendly access. Our focus is on learning to swim, water safety/water confidence, and promoting an active and healthy lifestyle through water-based activities. The Napier Aquatic Centre also has many other services, so why not make a day of it and hire the BBQ or attempt to complete our inflatable obstacle course. It's a great venue for birthday parties, corporate events or that family outing. The Napier Aquatic Centre is proud to be part of the Community Development Department of the Napier City Council. Nelson Repertory Theatre's home is at the Theatre Royal in Rutherford Street, Nelson; the oldest wooden working theatre in the Southern Hemisphere. Nelson Repertory Theatre was formed in October 1934, and in 1944 become an incorporated society and purchased the Theatre Royal. The Theatre Royal is a very special place. Even when it is empty with dust motes dancing in the shaft of a single spotlight, you can stand on the stage and sense the echoes of a century of laughter, music and drama. Nelson Repertory Theatre strives to continue this link between theatre and community - live performance has the ability to connect people and to connect with people. The New Brighton Project is an Incorporated Society, founded in 1994. We run on funding from Council, Community Board and Charitable Trusts. New Brighton is a unique seaside area with an active sense of community and of its own history, and a strong local commitment to celebrating and improving the area where we live. Our staff and dedicated volunteers have established a number of groups and run regular events like the Puppet Festival, the International Festival, the New Brighton Community Market in the mall and the annual Christmas Parade. We are also involved with the organisation of the carnival on the foreshore. Together with you we would like to coordinate events and activities that interest you. We liaise with local residents, groups, businesses and organisations, the Burwood Pegasus Community Board and the Christchurch City Council. Subscribe to our e-newsletter so we can keep in touch. We’d like to keep you informed about upcoming events in our area, tell you about what we have been up to lately as well as give you a chance to get involved. At the beginning of every month we publish a printed newsletter called “The Wave” that can be collected at the New Brighton Library and some local cafes and shops.
