We are a church with multiple and varied worship gatherings , many home-cell groups and effective ministries to people of all ages with specialized ministries to children , teens and young adults . We seek to be a visible and effective presence in the Karori community. Being church is about gathering together and about living the life of Jesus in every context. We place our emphasis on helping people to come to faith in Jesus Christ, grow in that faith and understand what it means for us to be missional (sent) in the context of the communities of which we are part. We seek to be outwardly focused, Word based and Spirit directed.

AngChap / Te Puna Karaiti is located in the heart of the university’s Kelburn campus at Ramsey House, opposite the lower Hunter Lawn entrance. Ramsey House provides a warm space where students can hang out between lectures, have lunch, meet with friends, study or pray. Hospitality, good coffee and music are on offer on weekdays from 8:30am to 5pm. The music is piped directly from our Human FM studio located in the building and broadcasting on 88.1. The coffee comes from our own café (becs), but you don’t have to buy anything to come in and make yourself at home. A lounge area, toilets accessible by wheelchair, a theological library and chapel are some of the facilities on offer, and we have Wi-fi too. You might want to check out our artworks by Michael Smither, Hayley Hamilton, Piera McArthur, Lily Emo and others. Mark Johnson, our Chaplain, offers pastoral and other practical support to any who need it, regardless of background. The role of the Chaplain is to nurture the spirituality of Christian students and staff and encourage them to work out their faith within their academic disciplines and vocations. The Chaplain is also available to talk with anyone about the big issues of life. A key part of AngChap’s mission is to foster Christian reflection on academic, social, political and cultural issues. Part of doing this involves sponsoring in-depth lecture series and Bible studies. Many other events are held at Ramsey House, so like our page to be kept up to date!

Tribe is a Christian youth group for teenage youth that runs from 7-9pm every Wednesday night during High School term time. Tribe is for hanging out with friends, growing faith and enjoying delicious deserts (Tribe is also known as the Pudding Club) Hosted by Stu and Sarah Angus.

Sunday Morning services - 10am. Children's Church and Creche available during the service.
