The Ashburton Toy Library Inc was established by a group of Volunteers in 1994. Since then we have grown in strength to have a current membership of over 150 families and we have approximately 1000 toys for hire.
Our large selection of toys are educational and help assist in the social, mental and physical development of our districts children.
Membership:
Committee $30 annually
Non-Volunteer $60 annually
Volunteer $30, plus 2 2.5 hr duties annually
Casual $10 per month
Also $22 concession card can be purchased for $20
Prices:
Toy prices are free to maximum of $5.00 for a two week hire:
Bouncy Castle $50.00 for a 1 day hire for members and $70.00 a day to hire for non-members, with $50.00 BOND. Included in the fee is a $10.00 non-refundable fee.

The centre aims to provide a supportive, encouraging learning environment for refugee students. We have a variety of reference books and resources, internet access and a number of wonderful volunteer tutors who are eager to answer questions and assist students with their homework.
Education is important to our communities because it helps to develop well-rounded personalities, people who can think and contribute to work in society. Educated individuals build strong families and can access greater opportunities for employment.
Initially consultation will be made with groups from a range of sectors to affirm what is working well in this city and to identify goals that will guide a collective approach to raising achievement and pride in the city.
A Summit is being organised for June 14 with the intent of bringing together leaders from across Porirua’s political, commercial, social, ethnic and educational landscape.
The output from the summit will be the identification of prioritised needs and an agreed work plan – at least 12 months of actions agreed as directions for change in Porirua.
Shine is about giving young people in Porirua the opportunity to develop their potential to contribute fully in the community and become successful citizens of tomorrow.

POWERtalk International is governed by a board of directors elected by the membership.The operation of POWERtalk International is authorised by membership decision, as expressed in biennial convention action by accredited delegates from clubs in good standing. The 2011 convention was held in Indianapolis.[1] The next convention will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2013.
