Susanne grew up as any other Danish kid eating her Mother's homebaked Danish Rye bread because that's just what you did living in Denmark.This Danish rye cannot be found on the shelves of any bakery in New Zeaoland so since leaving Denmark, Susanne has baked the bread herself using a centuries old "handed down" recipie. So what makes Danish Rye bread so special? Unlike any other bread you will find on the market, it starts with a wild yeast and ends up as a solid grain and seed packed mass of a loaf, chocka full of goodness, with no added preservatives, colours, fats etc. Through the years the bread has been a regular staple in the Olsen family. The loaf has affectionately become known as the " small windowless building". Denise grew up in a baking family in New Zealand and was introduced to the magic of the "the small windowless building" a few years ago. After much demand, Rebel Rye was created and the bread is now off to the Market to see if all you good people agree with us in the fact that we produce the best bread in the Southern hemisphere!

The Crazy cupcakery is a home run business for cupcakes and other assorted baking. All goods are handmade by our head chef, Ana Courtney who also shares the business with Gioja Buckleton.

We specialise in organically grown plums with a number of varieties including Sultans, Black and Yellow Doris, Louisa's and Billingtons. Both red and yellow flesh plums are available. Later on in the season we'll have more of the best of Oratia fruit with apples, pears, grapes and quinces. Our fruit trees are just about as natural as you can get. Being completely spray free they thrive in the fertile soil and mild climate of Oratia. We are dedicated to producing fruit that is both sustainably and organically grown Our delicious plums are available at the Oratia Farmers Market which runs every Saturday (9am - 12pm) at 99 Parrs Cross Road. We are also down at the Parnell Farmers Market which runs on Saturday Mornings also from 8am-12pm. If you are after a bulk order we are more than happy to deliver so get in touch!
