Or, in winter, sit on the sofa by the fire and read a magazine or the papers or just relax, sip on your coffee and think about nothing much at all.
Our menu is designed with two things in mind: we believe that the portions should be large enough so that you actually get food with your meal and that pretension is no substitute for quality.
There is a wide range of goodies for the littlies as well as great cafe fare for the adults, all priced to keep your wallet or purse calm.

Whangarei Airport is a pleasant airport that is home to several air operators. Primarily the main use is by the national Air Carrier (Air NZ Link) who operate a freqwuent daily schedule to and from Auckland. On week days an early morning direct flight to Wellington which is also available complimented with a direct return early evening. This is very useful for those attending meetings and getting home in one day.
Flight training (fixed wing) is offered by Quantum Aviation Ltd and the Whangarei Recreatiional Flying Club.
Quantum offer full time training courses for those seeking a career as a pilot but the casual recreational pilot is also catered for. Accomadation can be arranged.
The recreational Flying Club primarily focus on recreational flying with Microlight class aircraft.
Commercial Tandem and sports Sky Diving is offered by Sky Dive Ballistic Blondes who operate two aircraft from Whangarei.
Helicopter ops are provided by Skywork Helicopters and Twin Coast helicopters. the latter can also provide helicopter flight training.
The airport is a great stop over destination for aircraft heading North with fuel and aircraft maintenace facilities available. The airports near proxmitity to the city makes it an excellent choice for those seeking land based activities. Shops and hotels are within walking distance.
From the airport terminal a regular bus service operates into town and of course taxis and rental cars are available. The terminal has a excellent cafe.
We use top quality local organic cows' milk which is usually in our vat within an hour of leaving the cow!
Each batch of our cheese is made from the milk of a single herd to provide absolute trace-ability.
You can buy our cheese at the Whangarei Growers' Market on Saturday mornings from 6.30am to 10.00am. We'd love to see you there.
You can also visit our artisan cheese factory on Port Road. We are in the same building as The Baker's Crust. Come through the bakery into our viewing room and you might just catch some cheese making action.
Whangarei Heads Market will be an artisans market offering fresh food, produce, arts, crafts, jewellery, olive oil and more. Specialising in locally made goods.

MegaType Publishing has evolved from being a company in South Africa producing design and reproduction for the printing industry to a dynamic, well rounded and thoroughly experienced company here in New Zealand. MegaType produced a South African trucking magazine monthly for five years as well as a franchise magazine which was bi-monthly. We also assisted in getting Mac and PC to talk to each other, a niche that was necessary in those times. We produced positives for printing for various other designers as well as correcting supplied artwork to fit into the specifications needed by the printer. MegaType is moving with the times and is now doing Graphic Design, Creative Writing, Proofreading, Editing and Web Site creation. Megan, from MegaType is also a fine artist and illustrator and is offering this service as well.
