Conifer Grove Kindergarten is situated adjacent to the Conifer Grove Shopping Centre and attracts families from the established areas of Takanini and the new subdivisions of the Papakura/ Manurewa districts.
The Kindergarten offers an attractive indoor and outdoor environment and has a staff of three trained, registered teachers and one Administration Assistant.
The Kindergarten operates two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon and has a roll attendance of 45 children per session.
Children are viewed as competent, confident learners and the curriculum is planned in response to the children’s interests. Children are encouraged to contribute to group discussions based around these interests.
The Kindergarten environment is reflective of the strong community spirit and cultural diversity of the families whose children attend.
Establishing and maintaining these relationships with the Parents is an important part of the Kindergarten philosophy.

Karaka Cricket Club is situated at the Karaka Sports Park on Blackbridge Road, Karaka (approx. 5 minutes from the Papakura off ramp on the Southern motorway). The Club is affiliated to the Counties-Manukau Cricket Association.
The Club caters for all Junior and Senior Grades, has two artificial pitches, a grass wicket block, three practice nets, a bowling machine, slips cradle and two crazy catches for the use of members.
The Karaka Sports Park clubhouse is available for the convenience of all cricket players and their families. Food and refreshments are also available most days. We look forward to seeing you at our Club! Have a wonderful cricket season!
We offer childcare between the hours of 8am and 5.30pm – however these hours are flexible
Winz subsidies are also available; they pay a minium of 9 hours per application – wether parent is working or choosing to socialise their child with childcare.
“20 free†hours for over 3’s – this service actually cost’s $15 a week but is great value for money as it would cost $116 for 20 hours normally.
If you choose not to use subsidies and your child is under 3 fees’s cost $5.80 per hour
I also do school holiday care for school age children cost is between $10 and $20 a day.
