Rebel Rye
Susanne grew up as any other Danish kid eating her Mother's homebaked Danish Rye bread because that's just what you did living in Denmark. This Danish rye cannot be found on the shelves of any bakery in New Zeaoland so since leaving Denmark, Susanne has baked the bread herself using a centuries old "handed down" recipie. So what makes Danish Rye bread so special? Unlike any other bread you will find on the market, it starts with a wild yeast and ends up as a solid grain and seed packed mass of a loaf, chocka full of goodness, with no added preservatives, colours, fats etc. Through the years the bread has been a regular staple in the Olsen family. The loaf has affectionately become known as the " small windowless building".
Denise grew up in a baking family in New Zealand and was introduced to the magic of the "the small windowless building" a few years ago.
After much demand, Rebel Rye was created and the bread is now off to the Market to see if all you good people agree with us in the fact that we produce the best bread in the Southern hemisphere!
