One Good Horse

One Good Horse

6 Inwoods Road, Parklands, Christchurch ,
Walking through the restaurant it’s obvious that this place is quite special. From the walls depicting shots of horses in their glory days, soda siphons lining the bars, vintage suitcases holding up the counters and bars, to a ceiling decorated in racebooks from as early as the 1920s. It is this subtle yet stylish assortment of small things that has generated a unique vibe and made One Good Horse a destination in its own right. Reminiscent of the jockey clubs of the 1930, One Good Horse is a place that reflects authenticity and familiarity. The resulting ambiance is both warm and welcoming, with the Canterbury river stone fireplace, private plush red leather booths, both large & small tables and the private function rooms making the restaurant an ideal place to spend an evening out. Not only for a quick pub meal, but for a romantic dinner for two, a birthday bash, grandpa’s 90th or a family reunion. The restaurant can fit up to 140 – 160 patrons making it more than capable of dealing with anything you had in mind for that special occasion. All food is served out of our new open style kitchen where guests can watch the kitchen staff in action. Being in the spotlight certainly doesn’t stop the chef from putting on not just a great show, but fantastic meals to match.
