parkrun is a free 5km timed run held every Saturday morning in over 120 venues around the world. The Lower Hutt event starts at 8am from the southern end of the riverside carpark in Lower Hutt. Whether you are an elite runner, a jogger, a walker, or anything in between, you are welcome to join us. See you next Saturday.

Naenae College (known also as NNC) is a New Zealand secondary school, located at the bottom of the North Island in the suburb Naenae, which is apart of the City Lower Hutt.
It is a uniformed school, but before 2008 year 13's were allowed to wear their own clothes. After 2007 it was made compulsory that all years from 9-13 were to wear the College Uniform. The current Principal is John Russell, who has been at Naenae College since 2007.
Naenae College has been around since 1953 and celebrated its 50th in 2003. It is a multi cultural school, the top three races are Maori, NZ european and Pasifika. The last roll call for Naenae College was in the 600's.
Hutt Valley High is a co-educational, decile 8 state school of 1750 students for Years 9 to 13. As a well established school, it has a very pleasant campus and excellent facilities and operates an enrolment scheme. It has great pride in its past and strong hopes and aspirations for its future.
