The Department is actively involved in the teaching of pathology to 4th and 5th year medical students and has a steady inflow of postgraduate students doing studies at Masters and PhD level. The Christchurch campus offers a one-year honours programme, BBiomedSc (Hons), an excellent stepping-stone to PhD study.
The Pathology Department's research activities are internationally renowned due to innovation on the part of staff and collaboration with local and international scientists.
