One of our Midwives will be with you during your labour and birth. As your Midwives, we aim to establish a partnership with you and your family, where your unique values and beliefs are respected. We provide you with individualised advice, care and information so you can make informed decisions during your pregnancy, labour and birth and postnatal period. We have a Maternity Centre that has all the necessary equipment and expertise required to deliver safe care to women experiencing a low risk pregnancy and anticipating a normal birth. At Clutha Health First Maternity we promote birth as a physiological process and aim to support you and your family to achieve the best outcome for you all. Research shows that women are most likely to labour best in a place where they feel free, safe and private with Midwives whom they know and trust. Giving birth in a primary unit increases your chances of having a normal birth without unnecessary interventions. Our Midwives are confident to support you with this.
