MAKE Studio has been growing over the past few years as our family's interest's have grown & developed. We all have different talents and strengths. Earlier this year we all decided to open the studio so that could share the space we have. Karen is an Early Childhood Trained Teacher & Permiculture with a passion for the arts, multimedia & technology. We have organic gardens & make eco products. I enjoy creating an environment that allows people to learn new skills but also gives freedom of expression. Max & Arabella are great gardeners, are intrigued by technology and are in up to elbows in most art projects going. We look forward to meeting you all.

I am a native speaker of Norwegian and Swedish and have lived in New Zealand for almost 10 years. I have two university degrees in cognitive psychology and started out as an English tutor while I was a student, back in 2005. I use modern teaching techniques that are proven to work. By tailor making the tutoring to each student, the learning is maximized and made more interesting. The tutoring consists of one -on -one sessions or group sessions - it is all up to you. In between lessons, students are given short videos, articles, translations and flash cards to practice on.

We post tips, anecdotes, and quotes to encourage communication confidence and leadership potential. We also post news about coming events, and features of the next meeting, in case you'd like to check us out further. You are welcome to at any of our meetings, held at the Bridge Club in Edith Hopper Park, opposite Whangaparaoa Primary School in Ladies Mile, every other Tuesday 7.30 - 9.30 pm.
