Established in 2010, Jill Lydia’s is a shop created around Jill's passion of collecting china, in particular Burleigh China. Burleigh's designs date back to 1851.
After collecting for 25 years and a visit to the Stoke-on-Trent factory in England (in 2009) Jill realised that only a small fraction of an exceptional range of Burleigh was available in New Zealand.
The extensive range of designs and colours prompted her first shipment to the country for enthusiastic collectors alike.
Each piece is made with care and pride and the skills of generations by following the same 200 year old process of underglaze transfer printing and is now England’s last working Victorian pottery.
