Welcome to Waikuta Lakeside Retreat!! We are situated on the shores of Lake Rotorua in a quiet cul de sac in Ngongotaha just 6 kilometres from Rotorua but far enough away from the sulphur smells! This newly built home was designed for great indoor/outdoor living all the bedrooms and living areas have extensive sunny lakeside views. There are 3 spacious luxury bedrooms all have a super KING SIZE BED. Each bedroom has a private ensuite, complimentary toiletries, heated towel rails and hairdryers. There is a large guest lounge with Sky TV, DVD and 2 cosy window seat areas to curl up with a good book and relax. There is a 6 person spa pool for guests use on the Lakeside deck where you can enjoy a glass of wine while gazing at the stars and the lake. Extensive decks on both sides of the house . there is a single and double kayak for guests use (lifejackets supplied). You can fly fish from the edge of the garden and there are great streams and fishing spots & mountain biking nearby. Complimentary golf clubs are available for guests use. A Cooked or Continental breakfast is included in your stay. A fully equipped kitchen and BBQ is available on request is guests wish to self cater meals in the evenings or dinner can be arranged on request. Waikuta Retreat is lovely location to relax, unwind and enjoy an Al fresco meal in the evening followed by a hot tub to soak away the strains of a days sight seeing. In 1997 I left school and enrolled in the Diploma in Fashion and Textile Design at Northland Polytechnic where I graduated in late 1999. I have worked only 2 full time jobs in my life (well paid work anyway ;) ), one as manager of a Fabric Store for 2 years, and then as Manager of The Importer Rotorua for 7 years before having my children. Whilst working full time, I also studied Interior Design by correspondence. After the birth of Noah, now almost 5, I began to sew and gift a few bits and pieces for kids to friends and family. I was always hearing "You should sell these", and so 'Potamus' was born. Potamus is the name my husband gave to me when I was pregnant with my first son, Noah. Originally I thought he was calling the baby Potamus. After I decided to use it as my business name, he set me straight on the true meaning! All items are created by hand, so no two are identical. Please allow for slight variation from what is shown in the photos. I'm a one-mummy business and I usually make your item when you order it. I always post the same day as payment shows in my account.
