I believe practical experience is the best business knowledge anyone can ever have. But where do you get it? Some people are lucky enough to have a wise old mentor handy but most of us don’t. Since the 1987 share market crash I have been recording the real life practical experiences of kiwi’s starting up and operating real businesses of all types, across the country, to find those factors common to them all. I called them rules to the Game of Business. If you are in business of any kind then these are rules you must be aware of.
I also learned that there is a game going on and it is called ‘Business’.
If you are in the game and you break the rules, even if it is because you didn’t know the rules existed, then somewhere it will always cost you and to the advantage of an astute competitor. But if you get it right and the opposition gets it wrong then you win. Simple!
I also learned we are all at different levels of knowledge and experience in this game and we all go through a similar learning process, while most of us make the same mistakes. That’s right, it’s predictable.
This information is a simple way to increase your knowledge, based on the experience of others who have been before you while saving you your hard earned money, frustration, grief and time wasted. It is 100% genuine Kiwi practical experience.
