Elaine has been involved in the health profession for the past 25 years. She trained initially as a Registered Nurse (NZ), then as a Midwife (UK) and more recently as an Acupuncturist (NZ and Nanjing China).
The World Health Organisation recognises Acupuncture for the treatment of many disorders as per the following list:
Addiction– alcohol, drug, smoking, anxiety, depression and stress management, pain management, respiratory disorders, carpel tunnel, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, facial palsy, fertility problems, period disorders, PMS, menopause, bowel dysfunction, nausea/vomiting, sinusitis, sleep disturbances, stroke recovery, and arthritis
Elaine and her colleague Lindy Bingham are the founders of the ‘Franklin Acupuncture and Wellness Centre’ based at Pukekohe Hospital which operates 5 days per week with appointment times of 1 ½ hours for the first appointment and approximately 1hour for each additional appointment. Our clinic is very relaxing, easy to find with free parking and easy access for disabilities.
Elaine has a passion for maintaining wellness with extensive knowledge in health, nutrition and lifestyle management which can help improve your wellbeing. She uses Acupuncture, Guasha, Moxa, Cupping, Acupressure, Electrotherapy, and Bach flower Remedies.
Elaine will often work closely with your GP, Midwife and other health practitioners.
She is a member of NZASA (New Zealand Acupuncture Standards Association) and NZIA (New Zealand Institute of Acupuncture) which assures you that strict clinical guidelines are adhered to; disposable needles are used to maintain an optimum level of hygiene. Elaine also undergoes regular ongoing education keeping up to date to improve her practice.
