I am a stay at home Mum with two boys who kinda fell upon this sewing thing! I made the odd piece for myself and the boys and then started to get the odd request and now here I am doing mostly womens garments. And now I have a continuous flow of customers (many who have come back more than once for more pieces) and have even been requested to do business work uniforms from hoodies and tunics for a daycare to merino hooded cardys for office ladies plus cardys and vests for nurses. The Trust was born out of the need to ensure positive growth of our community and explore what future opportunities there could be, whilst preserving what has already been achieved. Successfully completed projects include an upgrade of the local playground and installation of fantastic signage at the gateway to Outram. The current main project is creating a BMX track for the children. If a particular project whets your appetite, or if you have an idea or an existing project you would like funding for, we would love to hear from you so you can get involved on a project level (you will not need to become a full Trust member). Indeed, this is where particular expertise and input from the community will be invaluable. Look out for OCT fundraising events and come and lend your support any way you can!

Small batch coffee roaster in Outram, New Zealand. We've just moved the coffee roaster to a new premises to focus on producing more of the coffee that everyone loves!
