What the cloud offers teachers and learners is 24/7 access to all their "stuff": email, documents, calendars, photo galleries and much more. You only need to be online with a device of some sort - desktop, laptop, notebook, tablet, smart phone.
Perhaps most importantly, the cloud allows teachers and students to collaborate in ways which were impossible (or impractical) just a year or two ago. Once you've experienced this, you'll rarely, if ever, go back to traditional file based systems where you email files or store them on a hard drive on your laptop or school server.
So, should your school be moving to "the cloud?"
In our opinion, absolutely. Whether you are a small rural primary or a large urban secondary school. The benefits apply across the board.
