There are clean showers with plenty of hot water and baby bath facilities in the ladies shower area. The kitchen facilities offer cooking ranges, microwave, fridge and freezer units, chairs and tables, a hot water zip and toasters. The kitchen area is a popular gathering point in the evenings where campers come to cook their dinner and exchange stories of their travel adventures in New Zealand. The Lake Tekapo Holiday Park also provides a laundry and a large TV lounge for catching the evening news or the odd episode of Coro. We also provide 24 hour camp security for your peace of mind. There is a shopping area nearby ( one minute drive )with a supermarket, general store, shops, fantastic pizzeria and restaurants. The Tekapo township also has all the tourist operators you would expect to find in a New Zealand holiday destination. SHOWERS/TOILETS Located in our camp grounds are clean showers with plenty of hot water. Baby bath facilities are available in the ladies shower area. Please note that the showers are run by a $2.00 coin. $2.00 equals 10 minutes of hot water. KITCHENS Our kitchen facilities offer cooking ranges, microwave, fridge and freezer units, chairs and tables, instant hot water and toasters. LAUNDRY We have 4 industrial size Maytag washing machines and 4 dryers located in our main block. These operate on $2.00 coins. Washing powder is also available at $2.00 for 2 washes. TV LOUNGE 24 HOUR CAMP SECURITY BBQ FACILITIES We have BBQ’s to use free of charge in front of our main Kitchen Block WIRELESS INTERNET The whole of our Holiday Park is Wireless enabled through IAC internet Company ( except for our Family Villa’s). The large open spaces in the Mackenzie Basin offer many possibilities for mountain biking, horse trekking, golfing and walking. In winter (June – August) the Roundhill Ski Field provides a great family ski area situated 30 just minutes drive from our camp grounds, and we also have a naturally frozen ice skating rink right on the premises offering both daytime and night-time ice-skating.
