Havelock North Central Kindergarten is nestled in the heart of the Havelock North village, close to many varied educational and cultural facilities. The kindergarten is renowned for the warm, friendly and relaxed ambience within spacious indoor and outdoor play areas. The team acknowledges that children increasingly live in a busy fast paced world so purposely plan unhurried experiences for children to enjoy. At the heart of the curriculum is the child’s well-being and interests. Children proudly lead and direct their own learning through play and are supported by knowledgeable and experienced teachers that facilitate a love of learning. Teachers implement a well planned programme developing children’s skills in a range of area’s including literacy (phonemic awareness), numeracy, ICT technology and the arts that is complimented with natural spaces for children to explore and develop essential skills in all areas. Set within a tranquil natural setting, children are encouraged to become independent, confident and mindful learners with a sense of wonder and curiosity.
