John Q Cafe
Clean-cut, uncomplicated, fresh: they're words that apply as much to the food on John Q Cafe's menu as it's interior and ambience. A haven from the hectic rush of the mall, especially during the school holidays, the new cafe at 60 Queens Drive is a great place to meet friends and catch up, retreat after a shopping trip, or grab something to take back to work for morning tea or lunch.
Brother and sister David and Anne Goldingham have set up this cafe right next to their long-established business, Knit World. Family is important to the pair: they named the new venture after their Father and Knit World founder, John Q Goldingham.
The Cafe interior is smart with red booth seats, comfy wooden chairs, new fittings and immaculate surrounds. The atmosphere is relaxed and upbeat, but they take their coffee seriously. The smooth, sweet taste of Vivace coffee with a lingering hint of chocolate is their brand of choice and they pride themselves on offering an expert brew.
The food available from the on-counter cabinet is a tempting accompaniment to any of the barista-style beverages on offer. For those with a sweet tooth try the Coffee Caramel Oaty Slice or a decadent portion of Chocolate Fudge. Smoked Chicken Wraps have proven a popular savoury choice and vegetarians are not left out with the Roast Vegetable and Feta Panini amongst other sandwich and fritatta choices. The Date and Ginger Scones are perfect any time. Our Gluten-Free range is also top of the line, with our delicious Caramel Slice amongst others.
If you have a bigger dining group, there are function rooms available upstairs, which can be arranged and catered to your every requirement. We also have a prime spot in summer with our outside tables, which are on the sunny side of the street (and smoker friendly!).
