Hi, I'm Jo the owner and creator of Re-stitched!. I am mum to four little boys, of who the youngest Noah was stillborn in July 2012. After his birth I found myself at a loss as to what to do with the time I would have been spending with my baby. So, I started sewing a crocheting to pass the time. I suddenly remembered how much I enjoy creating and things have grown from there. Faced with the thought that my (living) youngest will be off to kindy later in the year, I have decided to try and turn my hobby into a small business so I can remain an at home mum. I love to see clothes being given a new lease on life and thats why I have chosen to work with recycled materials. I use material from clothing or bought from second hand stores. I use wool that has been reclaimed (unpicked from clothing) or bought second hand. I may occasionally need to buy little bits (thread, buttons, zips, elastic etc) new but the majority of materials used are recycled. I love to see was is considered old and unusable by some being turned into something new and usable. I love to see clothing that people have a sentimental attachment to being reloved. I hope to be able to offer a serivce to restitch your much loved but unworn clothing for you in the near future.
