Global Culture is a New Zealand company that celebrates all that is unique, creative, clever, interesting, strange & different about the inhabitants of this tiny cluster of islands that's quite a long way from most places.
Ours is a simple story of pushing our luck & worrying about tomorrow, tomorrow. It started in 1974 when a small band of rebels with heads full of alternative notions got together & decided that the world had become far too serious & it was high time we exposed it to the New Zealand way of thinking.
Spurred on by the excitement of finally discovering an outlet for our collective juices, & a no-nonsense attitude that says if you don't stand up & say it someone else will, we made our mark with a selection of limited edition T-shirts showing all manner of Kiwi things & making statements that others were afraid to make. Risky, but it worked. Soon, people from faraway places like Siberia & Slovenia were proudly wearing our clobber because they wanted everyone to know they had visited the best place on earth.
Never ones to let the thrill of success go to our heads, we set about growing a little company that has blossomed into a supporter & seller of a select bunch of items that in their own way embody what it means to be a Kiwi. We'd like to thank you very much for assisting us in our mission to spread the word that life is all good down here on the edge of the world.
