The Foundation for the Republic of New Zealand was founded in the summer of (December) 1983, by Roger McLeod and his fellow republicans, at the Cambridge Hotel in Wellington, New Zealand.
The Foundation for the Republic campaigns for a New Zealand republic with an independent head of state.
The Foundation aims to bring about positive change throughout New Zealand by advocating the idea of a New Zealand Republic; by putting out information pamphlets; by holding informative and interactive public discussions and by making New Zealand a 100% Kiwi owned nation - a country for New Zealanders, by New Zealanders, with New Zealand leadership and governance.
This page was created on the 22/06/2013, and will serve as a means of communication between The Foundation and New Zealanders.
