We are a small and friendly Surfing lodge and Relaxpackers. Set on 33 hectares of pasture and native forest located above Akaroa on the Banks Peninsula, East Of Christchurch. Overlooks Akaroa village the harbour and out over the Pacific Ocean 550 metres (approx 1650ft) up on the slope of an extinct volcano. Possibly New Zealand highest boutique hostel with the views to match. Surrounded by the peninsulas large native reserve "Hinewai" Over 30 kilometres of stunning walkways at the doorstep Cows Sheep and horses at different times. YMCA Wainui Park can provide a program for nearly all groups, from school age and over. Our instructional team are trained facilitators of groups who share a passion for the outdoors and working with young people. We offer activities such as: kayaking, high ropes, coasteering, archery, raft building, outdoor living skills, search and rescue, orienteering, campfire, snorkeling, tramping, low ropes, etc.
