The objects of the Club are to provide a venue for the promotion and participation of all boating activities and in particular encourage the sport of sailing and to foster a safe marine environment and encourage the younger Members of our community to become active and skilled in this sport. In addition, Learn to Sail programmes at Kerikeri’s Lake Manuwai are just the way to get started in sailing. All the instructors are volunteers, trained to Yachting New Zealand (YNZ) standards and the courses are run in accordance with YNZ guidelines. Advanced tuition in your own boat can also be arranged. All sizes and types of boat are catered for. The Club also has a Crew Finder Service. Do you want to go racing but can’t find a crew? Brookfield is an Outdoor Education Centre and permanent campsite used year-round by Scouts, Guides, Schools and Church Groups, and many other organisations. It is also used by business houses for team-building exercises.
