Your adventure begins in the small mountain village of Makarora - approx 45mins drive from Wanaka. Come and meet us at our desk at the local Tourist Centre and Cafe to check in and get ready for an unforgettable encounter with nature. The cafe serves great coffee and a variety of tasty treats. You begin your day with an aeroplane flight through the spectacular National Park enjoying views of glaciers, tumbling waterfalls, mountain tarns and moraine lakes hidden amongst the rugged Southern Alps. Everyone has a window seat to view the ever changing landscape for 25minutes before landing in the remote Siberia Valley. Once landed you will step out of the plane on to the valley floor, look around and you will feel special. The walking track crosses the crystal clear Siberia stream leading from the valley floor into native beech forest. Once you have arrrived at the pick up point beside the glacially fed Wilkin River the jetboat will whisk you downstream through even more amazing scenery on a fun 30 minute ride back to Makarora again.
